Victoria's little boy arrived 2 weeks ago. At 8 lbs. 6 oz. he's a healthy little guy. Right now Torey and Drew are out of school (Torey until the end of the year, Drew until the end of March). All three of them are living here, but Drew's leaving when he goes back to school. He'll then continue to live there, and Torey and Ethan here, at least until graduation. They're both surprisingly good with him. Vic has had three little sisters to practice with, but Drew's the youngest of his family. Everyone in our family loves the little guy. This picture does no justice to his cuteness - I'll be sure to post more soon though! Right now I'm going to get back to my little Grandson so Torey and Drew can get a little sleep.

At 7 months, Torey's belly is constantly growing. She can no longer hide it, no matter how hard she tries. It's strange to think this is the last Christmas with just us four girls; nest year we'll have a little boy! While I'm still disappointed in Victoria, and I wish we didn't have a little baby to worry about, I can't help but be excited for the little guy. With 3 girls of my own, it's exciting to think about having a little boy!

Kelsey ~ Thanksgiving
Oh Kelsey. This little one really keeps me on my toes. She's my cute little athlete and comedian. She's constantly running around doing this or that; soccer, softball, basketball, you name it, she can do it. She's the most optimistic kid I've ever met, but when she's having a bad day, you'd better watch out. My little baby girl knows exactly how to cheer me up, but also how to get my head spinning. Kelsey's the funniest 9 year old I've ever met and I have honestly had the time of my life raising this little hellion. I love her with every fiber in my being, and she knows it too. I couldn't have asked for better children.

Mikenzie ~ Thanksgiving
Mikenzie is my little artsy girly-girl. She can sing, act, dance, play piano, and draw incredibly. She's always been my little baby doll; she'd love nothing more than to sit in the stroller in a little pink dress while her big sister played on the playground, and look darn cute doing it. Although she's shy in person, if you put her on stage she just shines. Every time she's up there, whether she's dancing, singing, acting, or all 3, she brings me to tears. She's amazing at everything she sets her mind to and is absolutely gorgeous. She truly is one of the loves of my life and I mean that with everything in me.

Victoria ~ Thanksgiving
She's at 22 weeks right now, which means by the time Thanksgiving has rolled around she'll be 6 months even. She started showing about a month ago and it's near impossible to cover it up now. She and Drew found out the gender a few weeks ago, but are keeping it a secret until Thanksgiving. People at school are beginning to harass her, but that's inevitable. She's due March 9, 2013, and she'll be in school up until she delivers. She'll then complete her classes from home, and go in on the scheduled days to take the final. It'll be tough with a newborn, but that's why 16 year old don't have children. It still blows my mind to see my 16 year old daughter roaming around my house with a big belly asking me questions about her pregnancy. I feel like it's my fault and that I messed up raising her somehow. Up until this point she was a model child; she gets straight As in advanced classes, follows all my rules, has stayed close to me, and even does everything I ask without picking a fight. She's my angel child, but I feel like my angel has let me down. I guess it was naive of me to assume she'd always be my perfect little girl. She knows I love her to the moon and back though, no matter what she does.

Torey
Homecoming is next Saturday! After a long discussion we decided that going to homecoming would be her last night as a teenager. She's only 16, but at 17 weeks pregnant she's going to have to grow up real soon.

2 year anniversary

2 year anniversary
When Torey found out that she was expecting, she decided that she didn't want to rush into marriage because she would feel like she were forcing Drew into it. Drew assured her that he loves her and would gladly marry her, but she's stubborn. So when they came home after their anniversary dinner I was shocked to see a ring on her finger. She had such a blissful, happy look on her face and he looked so proud holding her hand, so I immediately jumped to the conclusion that they were engaged. That's when Drew told me this: "I'm in love with your daughter. She means the world to me, and, someday, when she's ready, I will gladly marry her. But, for now, I have given her this ring as a promise that I will be here for her through everything." It was so sweet and genuine, and I'll never forget it. They then went on to tell me about how each heart represents one of them: the black one is Drew, the diamond one is Victoria, and the little silver one in the middle is their little baby. I am so happy for them, but also, of course, a little worried because they're both so young. At only 16 they should be focusing on grades, not working their butts off to save money for their baby. But, they've made their decisions, and even passed up my birth control offer, and now they have to live with their choices. I just hope the two of them can make it.

Victoria.
Torey and her boyfriend have been together since freshman year. They have a pretty strong relationship, which they're going to need, because she's pregnant. On the night of her Sweet Sixteen they spent the night at a hotel. It was the first time they had sex, and they used protection, but for whatever reason it didn't work. She came to me a few weeks after in tears and told me. She was so worried that I wouldn't support her and her decision to keep the baby. I talked with her and we decided that since she was dead-set on keeping it, she and Drew, her boyfriend, would save up the money to take care of the baby. She would continue to stay in my house, and he in his, until they finish school, including college. Once they both graduate and are ready to get jobs, they can move out, and in with each other, if they're still together. Torey is going to go to school until she has her baby, and then she'll be home-schooled. She'll then finish in school for her senior year. She has a tough road ahead of her, but I'm going to be here for her. They'll be financially in charge of the baby, but I'll be here to baby sit while she's in school and help with the little things. I'm dissapointed in her, but she's still my daughter and I still love her, and right now she needs me to be there for her more than ever.
